EXHIBITORS’ COMMENTS ON VERTICAL PRO 2021:

November 20, 2021 |

Dr Wolfgang Wabel, Mountaineering Representative of DAV:

“Vertical Pro has been a genuine success. There was an outstanding atmosphere and we are very satisfied. The visitors were insiders with an in-depth knowledge of the subject matter. It was an excellent decision to integrate the Halls & Walls concept into Vertical Pro.”

Josef Krimmer, Product Manager Lowa Sportschuhe GmbH:

“The first edition of Vertical Pro definitely surpassed my expectations, the quality of visitors was good and I met my customers. The opportunity to test products here was another aspect that I found very good. If there are no clashes with other appointments in the diary next year, we’ll be back.”

Jochen Brischke, Chairman of IAPA:

“The trade fair went very well for us. The visitors to our stand were very inquisitive and displayed a high level of specialist interest. Vertical Pro has been a really promising event.”

Sven Drangeid, Head of the FISAT office:

“What we, the German Association for Rope Access, were able to achieve in terms of providing information at Vertical Pro was extremely good. A slightly greater public presence would have been desirable but this was presumably due to the current situation regarding the pandemic. It was a pity that many items on the agenda such as talks and demonstrations took place in parallel, which meant that it was not possible to which meant that it was not possible to get to everything. The concept of Vertical Pro as a whole is definitely worthwhile!”

Daniel Gebel; Head of Innovations Edelrid:

“Overall, we have recorded a thoroughly positive response, even though the uncertainty ahead of the trade fair made it very difficult to plan and publicise the show more intensively. I regard this year’s Vertical Pro as a successful test run; nobody has gone away with a bad impression. Everyone was able to get an impression of the event and appreciate the idea behind the trade fair concept. I think the best possible conditions are in place for an even more successful second edition – hopefully under more favourable circumstances.”

Florian Wahl, Head of Sales Skylotec:

“I was in close contact with Show Director Dirk Heidrich before the trade fair and was very pleased by the underlying concept of having a mixture of the OutDoor and A&A shows. I currently see the trade fair as tending to focus on the activities of my industrial colleagues. However, I think the concept will become established if really all vertical topics are covered here. My customers took up my invitation and were all here.”

Christoph Driever, Country Manager Petzl Deutschland GmbH:

“I’m really surprised at how the trade fair went, as I was assuming there would be fewer visitors there in view of the COVID-19 situation. The integrated Halls & Walls had its regular public present. As Petzl, we identify 100 per cent with the show with our products and services, in fact you might say – Vertical Pro is Petzl. We will also be here in the future and will be trying to inspire even more people for this concept. For an initial event, the trade fair has been a really great success!”

Martin Wollpert, Sales Management of Kristallturm GmbH & Co.KG:

“We were positively surprised by how the trade fair went and encountered a high level of quality among the visitors. The test facilities here meant that there was a lot going on, which made the show entertaining. In any case, we’ll be back again in 2022.”

Christian Kruck, Technical Sales DMM International Limited:

“There were more visitors at the trade show than we had been expecting in view of the coronavirus situation. The visitors we saw were exclusively from the trade. I found that the concept with test area and specialist talks was absolutely necessary, and the trade fair would only have been half as interesting without them. Another appearance next year is very probable since we represent both the professional and climbing sectors, which makes the show extremely interesting for us!”

Johannes Escher, Area Sales Manager La Sportiva S. p. A.:

“We are satisfied with the quality of visitors even though a somewhat more international public would have been most welcome. The Demo + Test Area with the many opportunities to take part is very much part of the trade fair concept and was a great attraction. All in all, Vertical Pro was a new and pleasant experience for us!”

Johannes Gley, Sales Coordinator D-CH-FR Wild Country/Oberalp Spa:

“Our expectations, which were not all that high during the COVID-19 period, were definitely fulfilled. Vertical Pro is THE important trade fair for addressing climbing hall operators and a must-attend event for everyone in the industry.”

Prof. Dr Einhaus, Consultant with BG Bau (German employers’ liability insurance association for the construction industry):

“I was surprised by how technically targeted the questions were that followed my talks. It was extremely good that Vertical Pro was able to take place in such turbulent times as these.”

Tom Brenzinger, Owner Boulders Kletterhallenservice:

“My first impression was that there were fewer trade visitors here when compared with Halls & Walls in Nuremberg, but that may of course be due to the current situation with the coronavirus. However, the trade fair format here in Friedrichshafen is larger and the concept of the Demo Areas is outstanding and definitely brings added value.”
