Location: Neu-Ulm
About us:
The Neu-Ulm section of the German Alpine Club is looking for long-term support in administration starting immediately. As the largest club in the region, we operate the Sparkassendome DAV Climbing World in Neu-Ulm and offer a diverse mountain sports program for our members.
Your role:
• You will assist the management in day-to-day operations, specifically in the climbing hall's operations.
• You will coordinate processes behind the scenes – from the staff schedule in our Alpine Bistro to material orders.
• You will take on organizational and administrative tasks related to the daily operations of the climbing hall.
• You will communicate with the team, partners, and service providers when necessary.
• You will help prepare and implement events, courses, and competitions.
• You will work closely with the hall team to ensure smooth operations.
What makes you stand out:
You are organized, remain calm under pressure, and enjoy ensuring that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. You have excellent communication skills, a good sense for team dynamics, and take initiative. Reliability, a proactive approach, and a friendly, open attitude are part of your character. You are also willing to take on responsibility.
An interest in climbing sports is a plus – whether you are an active climber or simply passionate about running a modern climbing hall.
Desired skills and experience:
• Previous experience in organization, administration, or project assistance.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel, Outlook).
• Comfortable with digital tools/management systems (e.g., booking systems, time tracking).
• Understanding of operational processes in the sports or leisure sector.
• Experience in climbing hall operations is a plus, but not required.
• Willingness to occasionally work on weekends or evenings (e.g., during events).
We offer you:
A varied and responsible role in a lively climbing hall, a motivated team, flat hierarchies, and the opportunity to actively shape the climbing sport and contribute your own ideas.
• Remote work possible by arrangement
• Permanent contract and 30 days of vacation
• Professional development opportunities
The position is advertised for approximately 25-30 hours per week. An increase in hours is possible if additional tasks such as coaching or service shifts in the climbing hall are taken on. Alternatively, the position could be split between two people.
Interested?
Then send us your application (short cover letter + resume). We look forward to getting to know you!
