Everyone knows that one colleague who says, ‘Instructions? I don't need them!’ — men in particular often find it difficult to look at assembly instructions. Yet it is precisely these instructions that can not only save time, money and nerves, but also be a matter of life and death in an emergency.

Using clear examples, this presentation shows why it is important not to skim over the manufacturer's instructions, but to really understand and implement them. Because when it comes to safety-related products — whether fall protection, personal protective equipment or anchorage devices — every incorrectly placed screw and every forgotten safety device can have fatal consequences.

Under the tongue-in-cheek motto #RTFM (Read The F*cking Manual), we want to raise awareness of something that is often carelessly set aside: the assembly instructions. Together, we will do away with false pride and learn how an inconspicuous piece of paper can save lives — including our own.
