Climbing is more than just exercise and fun – it boosts self-confidence and independence and can improve job opportunities for people with disabilities. The presentation will showcase the results of a study that demonstrates the positive impact of climbing training on the employability and self-confidence of people with disabilities. In addition to exciting insights into the research results, the new Buddy Climbing project will be presented: a low-threshold opportunity for people with disabilities to climb regularly and independently – regardless of club structures. By involving people with and without disabilities, the project promotes inclusion and opens up valuable new perspectives.
