Yoga is the ideal tool for climbers to achieve balance and regeneration, both physically and mentally: when practised correctly, yoga helps us to switch into relaxation mode. In addition, this support-intensive exercise offers potential for balance and core training, promotes a stable shoulder girdle and active mobility for the muscles of the upper back and hips, and improves focus, regeneration and ultimately climbing performance through breathing and attention training. Yoga teacher Sarah Burmester explains what to look out for and what is important.
