Recyclable climbing holds: performance comparison of a BioResin with conventional PU resin

Sustainable materials for climbing holds will only gain acceptance if they are similarly performant to conventional resins. However, existing standards do not adequately capture climbing-relevant factors, such as texture.

In our Innosuisse-funded project, we are developing test methods that take precisely these aspects into account. In this lecture, we will present the results and insights into the climbing-specific performance of BioResin compared to PU resin for the first time.
