Starting in 2026, proof of qualification for the installation of permanent anchor systems will be required—which may sound like more work at first, but is actually good news. That’s because ESFP e.V. has created a common framework for this that is structured in two levels: one for installation, and one for inspection and maintenance. For installers, this means that the basic installation qualification is mutually recognized among member companies, so skilled workers no longer have to undergo separate basic training for each manufacturer.

The deliberately drawn line: The installation of complex systems, such as rope and rail systems, as well as the entire inspection by a qualified expert, remain manufacturer-specific.

This presentation explains why this very distinction is not bureaucracy, but rather a matter of safety logic—and what you, as an installer or certified inspector, specifically need to know now. You’ll leave with a clear understanding: fastening follows common basic rules—but assessing whether a system is still structurally sound after years of use requires a trained eye focused on that specific product.
