Better branding - better business

Who doesn't dream of being perceived as Apple or Porsche in their industry? As the desirable number one and the benchmark by which everyone is oriented? Only superficially are the products themselves the irresistible attraction. The deeper reason for the attraction is the magic that has been knitted around these products - keyword branding!

It doesn't matter if you're a fresh start-up or a company that's already firmly in the saddle: branding positions your company in such a way that your unique selling proposition, your values and mission pick up the desired customers and desired employees in exactly the right place and you achieve maximum business success in the long term.

Workshop on handling estimated loads when using pulleys

This workshop is aimed at everyone who is confronted with the movement of loads whose weight is unclear in their everyday work or operations. This can occur, for example, in tree care or in rescue situations. The reasons for this can be wet instead of dry wood, increased friction on an edge, increased adhesion of the dragged object and much more. The danger here is that the pulley set up does not have the desired effect and either more people or a vehicle are pulled or another pulley is put on. The individual components can be overloaded. In order to avoid this, the application of the so-called “T-method” will be presented in this workshop.

Soft surface climbing holds

This year, Cheeta is launching a new line of holds made from a unique material called "Skuish." With their hard and durable core and soft surface, these holds offer a combination of outstanding comfort and an impressive resistance to abrasion.
Tested extensively in busy climbing gyms over many years, this material remains in excellent condition, even after numerous wash cycles and route settings.
Creating durable products is crucial for the sustainable growth of our indoor climbing business. In this pursuit, Cheeta is actively working to provide innovative alternatives to current materials.

Between safety posters and blame - on how we deal with human error

"Ultimately, human error led to the accident." Everyone has heard this sentence at one time or another.
On the way to a healthy safety culture, however, we should not be misled into thinking that this says and clarifies everything.
If we assume that no one goes to work to do a bad job and harm themselves or others, we have to treat individual errors of action as a symptom of a deeper problem. Along the way, the questions of can, know, can't and won't may provide valuable clues. After all, who has ever been forbidden to act safely?

The Greener Gym - Idealistic fantasy or practical reality?

Keep carbon in the ground? Indoor climbing needs to step up to the challenge of becoming carbon neutral, or better, as soon as possible. Whilst changing the ways we run our gyms may help, a large proportion of the carbon emitted is due to the manufacturing and distribution of our climbing wall installations and holds. So, we need to drive down carbon all the way through the Supply Chain. Our three renowned speakers provide strongly contrasting, and maybe controversial, views of how this can be achieved.

Workshop Chair: Colin Knowles, IFSC Europe Sustainability Commission

Dan French, Composite X, Tiphaine Lazard, Marketing Manager EP CLIMBING,

The handling of estimated loads is illustrated and made “comprehensible” using practical examples.
